Brief Overview
My name is Kevin Brewer. I studied Film & Video Production at Middle Tennessee State University. I took the time I had there to develop exceptional skills in editing, specifically with Adobe Premiere and After Effects. I currently work at Whitehardt Inc. as a video editor.
Video Editing Interests
I started making videos as a hobby after seeing the incredible action scenes that can be created using editing software (Freddie Wong‘s videos were vital in this discovery). Ever since, I’ve been consuming hours of editing tricks and tutorials. I love making action scenes and learning new tricks in After Effects.

After graduating in 2018, I dove into video editing as a freelancer on Upwork.com. Here, I learned a valuable lesson. Deadlines are everything. Whether a project was big or small, the one thing they all had in common was someone wanting to know when it would be ready. I strive to be organized and to be communicative so that I can reach a deadline that works for both me and the client. During Covid, I took on a role at a church to help them with their new online experience. From livestreams to podcasts, my time here equipped me a stronger understanding of the importance in online communities. Not everyone can be in person at events, so it's important to accommodate them. One of the church attendees was a manager at WKRN News 2. I was able to to land a position as a video editor at WKRN. Speed was the name of the game here. Deadlines rarely worry me after hearing "this video needs to be on the air in 1 minute!" Later, I went to work at Whitehardt Inc., where I created ads for lawyers across the USA. This job has challenged me creatively. Luckily, I am surrounded by talented editors who have given me valuable tips, from the best practices in picking fonts, to working in a 3D environment for graphics. Now, I am working on building my video business to help Middle Tennessee Business' grow their brand! I am grateful for these opportunities and I am excited to see where else I go.
